Dear players,
The server bug was fixed last night. Our mechanic-in-chief had decided to drive us crazy and to sabotage the midnight reset.
We administrated him a warning and hope he won't do it again.
Because of the bug, we didn't succeed in giving the daily actions manually yesterday evening. Sorry for this.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Mike Guivert won't do this again...(we hope so, or we will fire him)!

Dear players,
Agram would like to make two major changes in Formulawan in the next couple months. He would like to hear your opinions about it.
1/ The Super Championship : It will be a new mode in Formulawan, where players can compete against each other in a super championship, with tuning limits, special rankings, etc. What do you think about it?
2/ New reputation system : The whole system will be changed, with a new reputation calculation. This system won't take the number of victories of a champion into account anymore. Wgat do you think about this?

Dear Formulawaners,
From now on, several rules will change on your favourite management game!
FIRST CHANGE:
Until now, there wasn't a maximum league in Formulawan. Starting from on, the maximum league you can reach is LEAGUE 30! Once your driver have reached this league, he won't be able to improve any more (but a little surprise is coming soon for them...) and will only join championship races.
CHANGE N°2:
You can't boost your game skills (speed, braking, cornering, etc.) beyond the limit of 60. A driver that reaches this limit for one skill won't improve any more in this particular feature!
CHANGE N°3:
You can't fire a specialist any more if he already used up his daily action!
All those changes have been added in the GAME GUIDE !

Dear Formulawaners, players and F1 managers, It's been a long time that we haven't talked to each other and I'm glad to write again for my favorite community!
I had a look round the Olymp and saw that many teams have been moving upward in the Formulawan World!
So, I would like to congratulate BULGARIAN RACING TEAM and its incredible driver Luben Botev for their latest performance: it's the first driver to have entered LEAGUE 16, the current Olymp league!

Hello dear players,
We hope you're still enjoying our Grand Prix event, even if there have been a few bugs in the last days...But now, it seems to work fine and the Formulawan team is enjoying the competition too!
We also would like to thank TEAM LEFRED for his help and efforts because he really helped us to fix a bug we had since several months.
This bug was concerning the KingTrophy : sometimes, players could sign up for a race with this car, and it continued to be available: when a player tried to sign up for a seconde race, he could choose the Kingroad but then, it came up to be a free test run. It was possible for those players to have as many free test runs as they wanted and their car was still available (but signed up for the first race).
Team LeFred helped us with preicous information about this and today AGram succeeded in blocking this. It could happen that you see the Kingroad available but once you'll try to sign up again to have a new test run, it won't work.

Dear players,
As you already know, Formulawan experienced big problems on all servers today.
Lots of players had problems with their driver's actions and sometimes with their staff.
The programmers worked all night on the servers and the action update at midnight didn't work. That's why you missed your daily actions today.Unfortunately we can't turn back the clock because of several problems.
The whole programmer team has been working very very hard to fix all this but now it appears that we'll have to wait until tomorrow, when the next update occurs, and everything will get back to normal.
We thank all the players for their patience and for their great help by sending us emails and explanations about their problems. You have been really great!!!
The team is now thinking about a way to reward you for your patience and your exemplary behaviour! We'll let you know when we have decided what to do.

The great day has arrived : The Formulawan Grand Prix, our New Year Event starts today and will last until January_22.
Click on the red box on the top left of your screen and read the competition rules. If you then decide to join the Formulawan grand Prix, nothin’s easier!
You don’t need to registrate anywhere, only to take part in the tests that will be organized every day. And if one day, you don’t feel like participatin, it doesn’t matter !
Every daily test is independent from the others, and the winners of the great tuning parts will be chosen by drawing lots every night! More, every player that won one test will gain 1 more staff action for EACH staff section. Those actions will only last 1 day, the day after you won the test, so everyone who passes the daily test is sure to get something.
So, whether you participate in two tests or in all tests, all players can have fun!
Nobody will be obliged to succeed in the whole tests!
So what are you waiting for? We wish you Good Luck if you decide to start with the today’s first test of the Formulawan Grand Prix!

After passionating debates concerning the accident system, we decided to improve it! Several players were unhappy because of the great number of accidents and wounds. So, we revised them downwards. It should be less frustrating for all teams!

Dear players,
After several discussions on all Formulawan servers, the new feature for your development centre has been implemented. Now, you can try to improve your tuning parts !
From now on, every time you create a new tuning part in your Research&Development Centre, it is possible to make improvement attemps on a part to maximize its potential.
But take care : for each attempt, the risk of breaking the part will increase ! You’ll have to start again from the beginning !
But if you are successful, the bonus of your part could improve by far!
We also would like to ask you for something: The Formulawan Team noticed on all servers that some teams have created kinds of mutual support groups: they help each other to win choosing weak drivers and letting them race against strong collegues in order to let those collegues win. Each team has its turn.
We are asking those teams to stop this kind of practice because it's an abuse of our game rules. We want each team to have the same win chances! If it's necessary, Formulawan will take the appropriate corrective measures against the teams who won't accept to stop this practice.

The Halloween Rallye is over now and I would like to thank all participants who made real efforts to do their best during this event. I hope you found it funny and undertaining.
After the frightening Halloween Night, I am very pleased to announce our HALLOWEEN RALLYE KING :

Congrats to him and his uncredible drivers who suceeded in entering an impressive number of Halloween Races !
His team will accomodate a very special driver : Halloween King Jack, in league 10 ! Team Kenshinzen receives 30 levels he can split as he likes into speed, cornering, breaking and acceleration.

It’s horrible ! The Halloween Pumpkins have been invading our Formulawan Planet !
It’s the worst pumpkin invasion I’ve ever seen ! Here is the first secret Rallye test for you
If you are participating in the Halloween Rallye and if you want to gain some extra points, then have a look at the Formulawan Gazette, search for a very nice pumpkin and try to find its url on the web (exactly the same !!!). Let this nice pumpkin become your banner until the end of the Rallye. I already di dit with my one team Llyu (look for my team in the Olymp, you will understand what I mean). Second step : Go to the forum where you signed in for the Halloween Rallye, click edit in your team presentation and enter the image of this same nice orange pumpkin just as I did : Enter your pumpkin image here in this thread, but only in your own team presentation post.
You will gain 25 extra points for your final Rallye results. You will have succeeded in the first secret Halloween event ! And the pumpkin invasion will be accomplished NIARF NIARF NIARF!

Dear players,
I was trying to organize some fair and funny event for the players until the next big event, but I saw that there are some 'problems' and I would like to ask ALL OF THE PARTICIPANTS several things:
ONLY ONE DRIVER PER TEAM AND PER PLAYER CAN JOIN THE SAME RACE. If I see people going on joining with several of their drivers to give the other teams less chances, those teams WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE HALLOWEEN RALLYE. As I always give a second chance, this rule is valid FROM NOW ON (Halloween Rallye 7).
Another thing : I would like to ask people NOT TO USE BOTS OR SCRIPTS TO JOIN THE RACES! It's a fair event that I organized for you to have fun and to talk about new things, and I ask all the players who use scripts and bots to join: please, just do as the others, it's just for fun. As I sais in the rules, there will be five winners, but it will be funny little gifts...so!
A last thing: ALL RACES WHICH ARE NOT ORGANIZED BY ME? TEAM LLYU ARE FAKE RACES. They won't give you points, so be careful and look if organized them or not.
I try to make the Formulawan Community happy by organizing things, so I hope this will continue!

Dear Formulawaners,
Sorry for having been away for so long, but I was very busy digging out some cool stuff for the Formulawan Gazette.
During my worldwide trips, I thought about a lot of things and decided to organize an exciting mini-event for you guys:
THE HALLOWEEN RALLY!
The Halloween Rallye will begin tomorrow (server time), on the 21 October and end during the night of Halloween, at midnight (server time).
During ten days, several friendly races named "Halloween Rallye Race" will take place at different moments of the night or of the day. There won't be any forecast for those special races.
All the players who want to participate in the Halloween Rallye MUST SIGN IN by posting their name and a little description of their team (2-5 lines) in the HALLOWEEN RALLYE SECTION here.
Once they have signed up for the event (start tomorrow at 08.30 o'clock A.M), the participants will have to track the special Halloween races in the Friendly Races section and succeed in joining them as soon as possible.
After the ten days of the HALLOWEEN RALLYE, THE PLAYER WHO WILL HAVE SUCCEEDED IN JOINING THE MOST HALLOWEEN RACES WILL BE THE WINNER!
That's it! No need of winning! No need of spending bolts, the same chances for every team to win!
The winner will get a funny Halloween gift!

It's the last lap before the Grand Finale of our September Contest, the first ever organised Formulawan Event!

The September contest has been running now for three days and lots of teams are taking part!
Don't forget that you need to validate the MOST TESTS as you can.
We have been especially paying attention to your positiv and negativ critics and have decided to make the Death Race test easier.
From now on, you can race on DEATH RACE AND ON DEATH RACE MIRROR! Both racetracks will count for the contest.
Also don't forget that, even if you are not among the first teams, there will be lots of other prizes distributed to the other participants, so don't hesitate and do your best!

HOW TO PLAY
To join the Formulawan contest, you only need to have a game account on the Formulawan website.
Formulawan players are automatically registered for the contest, even if they don’t participate in it. The contest will take place from 1st September to the last day of September 2009.
Staff members of Formulawan and Carpe Ludem are not allowed to take part in this contest.
GENERAL
During the whole month, players will have several tests to validate on the Formulawan Website.
Each player can join the contest from the moment when he registrates in the Contest section (contest button on the top left of the screen). Each player has four weeks to pass the different tests.
Each participant must have been successfull in every test. There will be no exception. Each test must still be valid on the last day of the contest.
The prizes are as follows : First place : 1 customised 500.000 bolts car named after YOUR TEAM
Second place : 1 customised 239.000 bolts car named after YOUR TEAM
Third Place : 1 customised 220.000 bolts car named after YOUR TEAM
Fourth to Tenth Place : customised tuning parts and one-of-a-kind equipment!
Several other great prizes for the participants !
SELECTION OF WINNERS
The players who validate each test/event of the contest within the month and before the last day of September 2009, and who are among the 10 first winners, will receive one of the prizes displayed during the event.
In case of a tie, the first prizes will be distributed among the players who succeeded in validating every single test !
Among the players who validated all tests, 3 participants will win incredible customised cars and 7 other players unique and ultra-performing tuning parts.
Several other prizes will be distributed among the remaining participants.
No substitution of the prize is permitted. All winners will be notified by e-mail by Formulawan team, with further details regarding their prize (and a winner list will be displayed on the website).
In the event of noncompliance by the winner, an alternative winner may be awarded the prize. All prizes are in-game items.
Each item will be customised (not the consolation prizes) and will be dumped on the players’ game account at the end of the contest.

As many players already noticed, there has been a bad server lag bug in the past two weeks, due to the launching of the Spanish version of the game.
We have been working very hard and succeeded in fixing the server lag this morning around 2'clock. We hope that everything will get much better from now on!

Keep an eye on cheats!

Dear players,
Unfortunately, I'm writing this news because very big cheats have been discovered on our poor server!
Several accounts were making huge payments to get hundreds of thousands of bolts.
At the end of the day, they were cancelling their payments on paypal and got their bolts for nothing!And they were creating other accounts to get sponsored by the first ones, gaining therefore thousands and thousands of bolts in a dishonest way!
Those teams have been immediately deleted (teams and their sponsors)!
So, we are asking you to be very very careful towards teams which seems weird to you! Those teams were coming first in the rankings...
Send us a mail to support@formulawan@com if you have doubts about a player.
All players who are suspected of being cheats will be automatically deleted as well as their sponsors if they are in cahoots with those cheats.
Formulawan has a great community of players who are trying to manage their teams in a fair way, and we will be merciless towards CHEATS!!!

So you certainly heard about this incredible news that caused a stir in the formula one world!
Schumacher is back!
After years, Michael Schumacher is coming back to his first love : the F1!During this time, he hasn't been inactive. He participed in motorbike competitions and was pretty fast!
One can suppose that he will be in a great shape!
Your sportscaster will keep an eye on it... In the Formulawan world, things are going on too. There are about 30 teams in league 9 now, the current Elite League, and I'm wondering who is going to enter League 10 first?...

Dear Formulawaners,
Great news for you as the Grand Prix took place in Hungary yesterday!
Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory of the season at the 24th running in Hungary last sunday!
Raikkonen got the second place and Webber the third one! An exciting event where I met my colleagues from the Formulawan Magazine. As one of them, Patrick Jones, was working on a special interview, we decided to publish it here for you.
"DrakenSport Racing, a team that has been building a reputation as one of the big forces in FormulaWan racing, has afforded us a great opportunity today, to interview not only team owner Ragnor Vos, but all of it's seven drivers.
Ragnor built the team around the same vision he used when he started making sports cars. His philosophy of “If you can't enjoy what you're doing, why are you doing it?” has made a team that is not only growing accustomed to winning, but that grows more and more close knit with every passing day.
All seven of the DSR drivers not only aspire to victory themselves, but actively work with and support one another, and are some of the loudest cheerers whenever one of the drivers win.
FormulaWan Magazine – Ragnor, your team is more like a family than a team of people employed by the same person. To what do you equate this strong feeling of camaraderie that your team seems to possess?
Ragnor Vos – Well to begin with, as you come through the front door to our team factory, you'll notice my personal philosophy on the wall. While everyone here is here to win, I also make sure that my employees appreciate the roles of everyone else in the factory. This isn't a one man operation, without the combined effort of everyone here, we just wouldn't have the successes we've had.
FWM – Surely it can be hard managing the drivers though? Drivers are notoriously egotistical and self centred.
RV – That's where employing John as the team's first driver has paid off. John is an excellent driver, and was able to help the team in it's early days. And then when we looked to expand, he was the first person to speak up, and suggested his younger brother. John and Seth have a great relationship, and support and help out each other all the time. That just reinforced the kind of feeling I wanted the team to have. It was obvious from there that I should involve the current drivers and team members whenever I looked to expand the team. To make everyone feel that not only were they part of a team, but that we are a whole.
John Rhodes – When Ragnor said he wanted a second driver in the team, I knew that Seth would be a perfect fit. He's like me in many ways, so I knew he'd have no problems fitting in. And that was the case, it was like he'd always been here.
Seth Rhodes – Yeah, John's right. The day the phone call came, I didn't even hesitate. I mean, John and I are so similar at times, I remember it used to freak out our Mum. It still does.
FWM – And what about as the team expanded yet further?
JR – After DSR looked to expand again, Ragnor called a meeting of everyone, and told us of his plans. Then he asked if anyone from the junior formulas stood out. I think it was one of the mechanics that mentioned the twins. After we all took a look at the cv's of the girls, we knew they'd be fast enough. The only question was would they fit in with the teams ethos.
Anna Sinclair - It was a kind of strange experience when Ragnor called and wanted to come see myself, and my sister race. Then he turns up with John and Seth also. Talk about feeling pressure, here's two world famous drivers and their team owner walking around your garage, and watching you race. But they were all totally approachable, and even offered some advice. Helped me to win that day. And it's been like that ever since. They're always ready to help out with set up, or any problem I'm having with the car.
Rachel Sinclair - The boys are hard as nails on the track, but off the track they are like brothers to us, to everyone in the team. In a world of egos they are a rare exception it seems.
JR – You're being to nice girls. But the truth is, if you can beat me on the track, as much as I hate to be beaten, I respect anyone that can. It's all about respecting those you are racing with and against.
FWM – DSR quickly progressed to League 7 with John, but since then haven't progressed further?
JR – True, we made it to League 7 fairly fast, and League 7 at that time was part of the Elite Team. It was then that we as a team realised the problem with the Elite Team. You just don't get to race as much any more, and I'm a race driver, I don't want to just sit around for days or weeks on end. So we aren't exactly upset too much that e haven't gone beyond League 7 yet.
SR – I knew was eating John up inside that he wasn't racing. At times he was like an bomb about to explode. Then he got that race going where he drove like a made man. I swear he was just taking all his aggression out on the other drivers. Like poor Snorlax, man John near ran him off the road. After that race the mechanics were furious with him.
John laughs nervously at this.
JR – I think they were more annoyed at me than I was at not racing for so long. I remember the lot of them threatened to make me repair it myself. If I ever drive like that again I think they will.
RV – We're able to laugh about it now, but at the time, I wanted to hand John the repair bill. I think he's learnt his lesson though, and it's actually brought us closer together.
JR – I have a far better appreciation for the work our mechanics do. Without them; DSR would be nothing.
FWM – Even though you didn't progress beyond League 7, you've still climbed the ranks to be thought of as one of the best teams in FormulaWan. How did you achieve such a feat?
RV – Even though we aren't in the Elite Team, if you understand the sport the way we do, you'll see that the Elite Team is not the be all and end all of FormulaWan. After all, if your drivers aren't racing, then you aren't getting any brand recognition are you? The fans want to see their favourite drivers out there, putting on a a show, even if they aren't winning. That's why we employed Timo, Arne and Kenji. I want DSR to be not just a great team, and family, but a team that gives talented people a chance to show what they can do.
FWM – So Timo, Arne and Kenji joined to keep DSR in the spotlight? How do you three deal with that pressure?
Timo Ivers – We weren't brought in just to keep the team on the TV's and in magazines, each of us is here because of their driving talent.
Kenji Ito – The pressure from the media and fans doesn't affect us. Ragnor made it perfectly clear that as long as we give it our all, and learn from our mistakes, he's happy. He's made it so easy to drive for this team, we all want the same thing.
Arne Nilis – The pressure we put on ourselves is the only pressure I feel. Like Kenji said, Ragnor is happy as long as everyone gives it 100%, he's the best boss to work for.
RV – The team is fairly self funding now. Sure I throw money in now and then, but even without that, they still have the required funds to keep racing at the top for a while yet.
RS – And we just brought out some new equipment, that we think will make a big improvement for us all.
TI – Hopefully it's enough to get us back on par with Dream Racing and SK-mac2.
JR – Yeah, I'm getting rather annoyed at seeing only the rear end of their car lately. I'm hoping we can turn that around in the coming weeks.
So the future is presently looking rosie for this team. Or should I say extended family."

I have been on the road for the last two weeks and picked up lots of exciting news for you!
First of all, League 9 has been opened TODAY by our great champion CROOZA from CROOZA GP!
A very nice reward for this titleholder. Congratulations Crooza!
Besides, Germany was in the timelight yesterday since the Formel-1 Grand Prix took place on the Nürburgring!
Mark Webber won the first place, well-earned after 8 years and 130 Grands Prix!
Sebsatian Vettel came second and F.Massa got the third place.
Now, we are waiting for the next event which will take place in Hungary in two weeks.
i hope that until then, plenty of motivated champions will have reached league 9!

Big bug 29/06

Hello everyone,
I think we got through this 29/06/09 bug!
It was not an English bigbang bug, but a French bigbang bug!!!
The French server crashed down on last Sunday and that had bad consequences on our poor poor English game :oops:
Unfortunately, all saved races that were lost could not be recovered even if we tried over hours and hours to get them back.
We are really sorry for that, we really did our best. It won't happen again.
Concerning the stucked drivers and the mess in the leagues and races, it's fxed now.
The championship data will be corrected over night today and everything should be allright after this.
Thank you very much for you patience and indulgence, you are a great community of players!!! :D

New customization abilities

Dear Players,
Now, you can customize a lot items in your account !
It is possible for you to download photos or pictures for your banners, your drivers, their helmets, your car’s overview and your car’s interior!
We hope you will enjoy all this (but don’t forget to enter your banner url again iif you had one, since it has been removed).
A few other things has been improved on the game like:
- In the championships, when you sign in and chose your driver for the race, the car that has been prepared for him appears now automatically in blue.
- All leagues that were at level 0 have been corrected
- The tuning index of your cars are now considered in your reputation
- There are new parameters that you can tick in your game choices

Great F1 news now: The Turkei Grand Prix took place yesterday in Instanbul.
It is the 7th event (out of 17) of the world championship!
Jenson Button is the big winner, with Mark Webber in second and Sebastian Vettel in third place...
A great event anyway!
On Formulawan, situation is evolving too, since Fits STIF 3 has entered league 7!
It will put pressure on the other best drivers and we hope they will do their best to overtake Formulawan's champion...

I’m the sportscaster on Formulawan and I’ll regularly announce the latest news in this section!
Dear Formulawan-Players,
Formulawan English gained more than 3000 players within 3 days ! A great start for a great game !
There has been a lot of action on the website since yesterday. A lot of new players, a lot of new bugs…but I spoke with the Formulawan Team, and they are doing their best to fix all problems as soon as possible. So, be patient and comprehensive, they all are good guys…
With regard to the Elite Team, you have opened League 2. Who will open the next league and make League 3 become the new Elite Team first ? Wait and see !!!
